Investing in Innovation

Local school districts across the nation may receive up to $650 million through the Investing in Innovation Fund. These grants will be awarded to education agencies that have made significant progress in closing the achievement gap between the races and the socioeconomic classes. The grants will be awarded in an effort to allow these school districts to expand their work and to serve as models of best practices.

Local districts that receive grants from the Investing in innovation Fund may also partner with the private sector and the philanthropic community to identify and document best practices that can be shared and taken to scale based on proven success.

Grants will be awarded to local education agencies or to a partnership between a nonprofit organization and one or more local education agencies, or to a consortium of schools.
