Public School Student Enrollment Data (Multiple Statistics)
These documents are prepared from student information submitted by the parish/city public school districts and other public local educational agencies (LEAs) in the Student Information System (SIS). Data is reported twice a year, October (Fall Report) and February (Winter Report), and is reported based on four membership groupings:
- total reported students
- elementary/secondary students
- students in grades K-12
- funded memberships
The information is presented at both the agency (LEA) and school level, and includes total enrollment, as well as student population data for gender, race/ethnicity, federal free and reduced meal eligibility, English proficiency, at-risk, grade placement, and the number of students over age 21. Subtotals are provided for: city/parish school districts, independently-reported university laboratory schools, BESE Type 2 and Type 5 Charter Schools, Recovery School District Direct-Run Schools, BESE/Special Schools, and Office of Juvenile Justice schools.
