All of Louisiana’s children should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. The Louisiana Department of Education provides after school and extended learning services for over 10,000 students a year through a combination of state and federal funds. The Department provides technical assistance, training, and monitoring to more than 300 sites, working to integrate academics, recreation, and enrichment to students from high-poverty communities.
There are two types of after-school programs the Department administers through local school districts and schools: Supplemental Educational Services (SES) and 21st Century Community Learning Centers.
2012-2013 Supplemental Educational Services (SES) Request for Applications
As a result of the Louisiana Department of Education’s ESEA Flexibility Waiver application to the United States Department of Education, the development of the 2012-2013 SES Provider Request for Applications has been delayed until further notice.
