The Data and Reports page is a collection of public data on Louisiana’s public schools. Using this site, you can access statistical information on topics such as student demographics, course enrollment totals, finance, and student achievement.
In its Annual Progress Report on State Education Data Systems, the Data Quality Campaign (DQC) evaluated the progress states are making in gathering data to monitor which schools are producing the strongest academic growth for their students. The Data Quality Campaign defines longitudinal data systems as high-quality data systems that collect information about how individual students are doing over time, from prekindergarten through 12th grade and into postsecondary education. Louisiana is one of 11 states meeting all 10 requirements for a robust state longitudinal data system. Louisiana was one of 6 states that met all the requirements in 2008.
“As one of the first states in the country to have all 10 Essential Elements, Louisiana continues to provide exemplary leadership as it focuses on leveraging its robust longitudinal data system to improve student achievement,” said Aimee Rogstad Guidera, Executive Director of the Data Quality Campaign. “The DQC looks forward to highlighting how Louisiana is using this data system to inform its early warning system to ensure supports and interventions assist individual students in a timely manner and to improve the training and professional development of teachers through the linking of teacher and student information systems.”
